Timeline

1949

Family business established in the small town of Sham Chaurasi, Punjab, by Late Shri Kewal Krishan Bahl.

1950

26 January, formation of the Indian Republic.

1954

A young Shri Kewal Krishan Bahl arrives in Delhi. On his trusty bicycle, he earns his stripes by painting rooms before breaking ground on bigger dreams.

1963

Perseverance pays off with the first Landmark Project: Chandigarh Airport construction.

1976

Dr. Rakesh Bahl steps up with his inaugural project, the Neelam Flyover in Faridabad, marking the second generation’s debut.

1982

The Krishna Group delivers athlete housing for the world stage at the Asian Games Village.

1996

First project in Gurgaon, Kendriya Vihar, Sector 56 - one of the decade’s largest residential contracts.

1999

DLF Ridgewood Estate, Delhi—the dawn of partnerships with India’s leading developers.

2007

Formalising our heritage, Krishna Buildestates Pvt. Ltd. is born—carrying three generations of trust into the future.

2008

KBE is selected as the General Contractor for DLF Queen’s Court—a landmark project in the company’s initial years.

2015

2015 and Beyond – KBE expands its footprint to 13 states and diversified sectors, securing collaborations with prestigious clients

2025

KBE is delivering 6 lakh sq. ft. of design + build innovation with its first AI-driven steel structure spanning 139M in height - the tallest in NCR yet - setting new benchmarks for faster, smarter construction.

Krishna Buildestates (KBE) draws on a seven-decade legacy in construction. Now in its third generation under Dr. Rakesh Bahl, Rahul Bahl, and Bharat Bahl, we deliver landmark residential and commercial projects across India.

Rahul Bahl

Managing Director

Rahul, a third-generation leader and Aston University engineer, launched KBE in 2007 after global stints at BBC and PwC. With 17 years in real estate, he drives strategy, finance, and operations nationwide, while championing innovation, sustainability, and team growth.

Bharat Bahl

Joint Managing Director

Since co-founding KBE in 2007, Bharat has led its expansion with technical expertise and strategic vision. An Aston University graduate, he drives business development, global partnerships, and sustainability initiatives through Rotary, EO, YPO, and the KBE Foundation.
